Martha White Pounder

November 23, 1932 - April 20, 2022

Mom went to be with Daddy on 20 April, 2022. Martha Lane Pounder (nee White) was born in Savannah, Georgia on 23 November, 1932 to Ellis Joseph White and Lila Jewett Hunt. She was a nurse, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Joseph Pounder, Jr., her brother, Ellis Joseph White, Jr. and her parents.

She is survived by her daughters Mary Theresa Pounder-Tillotson (Bruce), Martha Lane Pounder, and Katherine Denise Pounder Seguin (Ed); her grandchildren Elizabeth Lane Tillotson, Rebecca May Tillotson-Sandoval (John), Melissa Ashe Seguin and Michelle Denise Seguin; and one great-grandson Alastair Sean Guichard; brothers-in-law Robert Wyatt Pounder and William Thomas Pounder.

Visitation and Rosary will be on Sunday, April 24th from 4-6 pm at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd in Jacksonville FL, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, April 25th at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11665 Fort Caroline Rd in Jacksonville. A reception will follow immediately after Mass in the Family Life Center at Holy Spirit, followed by interment at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd.
