Mary Virginia Kirby Harrington, 83, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was born August 26, 1934 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Mack and Maude Knotts Kirby. Mrs. Harrington moved, with her husband, to Jacksonville, Florida over 60 years ago and retired from Sears in 1985. She loved to fish and spend time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Marion Harrington and her brother, Mack Henry Kirby. Survivors include one daughter, Marvis Martin (Billy); four grandchildren, Christopher Ariail, Virginia Coleman, James Martin, Jr. and Carol Pope; Five great grandchildren, Michaela Ariail, Baileigh Coleman, Mackenzie Ariail, Amelia Wright and Christopher Barnes, Jr.; two great-great grandchildren, Aceson and Coleson Tennison; other loving family and dear friends. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, August 27, at the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, Jacksonville.
