Elaine was born on April 8, 1944, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, to her loving parents, John “Buddy” Preston Pitts and Mary Ellen Pitts, forever carrying the grace and warmth of her southern roots. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deeply ingrained love for family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Al Hendrickson Sr., son, Al Hendrickson Jr., grandson, Jake Hendrickson, sister, Kay Grogan, and nephew, Patrick Grogan.
For 56 years, Elaine was the loving wife of Al Hendrickson Sr. Their enduring love story was a testament to mutual respect and shared dreams. As Al Sr. worked for Southeast Toyota, Elaine was his steady support. When Al Sr. and Al Jr. launched Al Hendrickson Toyota in Coconut Creek in 1989, Elaine's quiet guidance and constant support were integral to the business' foundation and ongoing success.
Her pride in her family was evident in her unyielding belief in her son, Al Jr., and her cherished grandson, Jake. She took immense joy in their achievements, and her steadfast encouragement constantly motivated them. Each milestone they reached was a testament to her belief in their potential and the strength of their family. Elaine's friendships were marked by loyalty and generosity.
