She was born on April 3, 1919 in Alton, FL to Katie and Henry Herlong and moved to Jacksonville in July, 1919.
She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1935, later attended FCCJ and UNF, and was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior.
Marylou lived a long and remarkable life.
She is survived by two sons, Peter Gerlach, Jr. (Leslie) and Michael Gerlach; one daughter, Kathryn Gerlach Gable (Kurt); one granddaughter, Erica G. Carson (Ian); two grandsons, Jesse L. Westberry (Jenna) and Forest P. Westberry; and one sister, Patricia Koontz (Philip). Marylou was predeceased by husband, Peter Gerlach, Sr.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28th in Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL with Rev. Ronnie Willerer as Officiant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of NE FL.
