

Dr. Maymon Kyaw Thint, age 57, passed away due to ovarian cancer on May 5, 2020 at her home in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Yangon, Myanmar, and was the daughter of Dr. U Kyaw and Daw Khin May Taw. She arrived in America in 1990, completed her medical residency and training at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, and was an Internist, a Primary Care Physician with Broward County Health Department in south Florida and Ascension St. Vincent in Jacksonville. She was a compassionate and dedicated doctor, and a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed exotic cuisines, traveling, and outings with her many friends. She especially cared for the less fortunate among us and consistently donated her time and service at local free clinics.
Dr. Thint is survived by her husband Marcus, daughter Juliana, sister Thuzar, and mother Daw Khin May Taw.
A memorial service for Dr. Thint will be held on May 16, 2020, 2-4:30 pm at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel and Cemetery, located at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville FL 32207.

• For guests that want to send flowers, Dr. Thint requested to please donate a check instead made out to “JMA” (Jacksonville Myanmar Association) which holds monthly free medical clinics for which she used to volunteer. Checks can be brought to the memorial or mailed to: 9035 Hampton Landing Dr E, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
• Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have to limit the number of guests. Please call or text Dr. Win Aung at 305-609-3321, to express your interest to attend the memorial and only come when you receive a confirmation from him. Per the families request please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
