Michael Alan Chancey

Michael Alan Chancey, 24 passed away on August 21st. He was a Jacksonville native, attended local schools and graduated from Florida Air Academy, Melbourne Florida. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He loved to travel, wake boarding, skate boarding, and perfecting his art of glass blowing. He was a free spirit, immensely caring and an outgoing person. He loved his family wholeheartedly and always enjoyed a good conversation.

He was predeceased by his uncle, Alan Wilhoite, his grandparents, Howard and Josephine Wilhoite, and Joe Chancey, Sr. He is survived by his parents, Lee and Janice Chancey, brother, Joey Chancey, grandmother, Mary G. Chancey, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 24, 2013 at 6p.m. with a rosary service starting at 7 p.m. at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Mass of Christian burial will be held 12p.m. Monday, August 25th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Main Church, 11730 Old ST. Augustine Road with the Rev. Dan Cody as celebrant. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
