

Michael Patrick Nolan Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida passed away at his home Sunday, September 28, 2025; after attending Mass with family and enjoying a routine Sunday breakfast at their favorite local restaurant. Michael was born July 16, 1948 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to Leonard A. Nolan and E. Doris Federspiel Nolan. Michael relocated to Jacksonville, Florida in 1957 with his family and later became a U.S. Citizen .
Michael was pre-deceased by his wife Brenda Nolan, Parents Leonard and Doris Nolan, and his sister Leonarda (Ardie) Nolan. He was survived by his sisters Barbara Nolan, Linda Dobek (Anthony), Betty Johnson (Nick), Marvel Jones and his brother Lawrence (Larry) Nolan. Also survived by his children Michael P Nolan, Jr., Sarah L. Lee, Daniel A. Nolan, and Anastasia N. Nolan. Michael has been blessed with and enjoyed 9 grandchildren Kyle Nolan, Jacob Nolan, Jessica Nolan, Shawn Danese, Megan Danese, Joey Wooten, Jr., Bradley Nolan, Jaxon Wooten, and Audrey Griffin. He currently has 3 great grandchildren Valarie Kuulei Nolan-Beason, James Danese, Kane Patrick Nolan (and one on the way). He has several nieces and nephews as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Michael was a member of The Assumption Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus Council 4727 and the Knights of Columbus Assembly as a Sir Knight for several decades. His hobbies & entertainment included bass fishing, photography, meeting weekly with friends at the firing range and participating in charity events. He graduated in 1966 from Englewood High School and attended Jacksonville University on scholarships awarded by the National Honor Society. Michael went to work right after High School with the Bell telephone system where he retired his career as an Engineer.
Services are arranged for Viewing with the Rosary Friday evening from 5pm - 7pm at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207. The requiem Mass is being held at The Assumption Catholic Church, 2043 Atlantic Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207; Saturday at 12:30 pm. After the mass the funeral procession will continue to the Oaklawn Cemetery for graveside services followed by a reception at the same location. All attending are invited to join for a time to remember Michael.
