Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death
Amen.
Michele Levy Hills, age 72 passed away on March 16, 2019 at Baptist Medical Hospital South. She was born to Maude Pasquis Levy and Faine Levy in Port Au Prince, Haiti. Michele was the 7th of 8 children, and was a very strong and determined person with a tremendous work ethic. She was a loving mother and wife, and a kind person who always wanted to help the less fortunate by always donating.
Michele grew up in Haiti, and at the age of 20 decided to move to America in New York with speaking hardly any English. She worked a full time job during the day, and took English classes at night time, so she could excel in the USA. Michele eventually left New York and moved to Miami where she met her husband Thomas Hills. Tom fell head over heels for Michele, as he loved how she had such a joyful spirit and was always making him laugh.
After Tom and Michele got married, they had a son named Gregory Hills. Michele loved her son so much, she wanted to make sure he was well taken care of. Michele eventually joined Tom at the Post Office, not so much because she wanted to, but because she wanted to help provide a better life for her family. Michele loved her family very much. Time passed, and we continuously grew stronger as a family. We were a smaller family, but that’s what made us really close.
Michelle was very good with money management, as she always made good investments to help benefit her future. She gained a lot of financial success and was able to help Tom move to the best area in North Florida called St. Johns, FL., which is known for having the best school systems in Florida, as well as some of the best in the Nation. When Michele moved to St. Johns, FL, she really felt relaxed and that she had made it in life, and she did. She worked very hard for her success.
Michele always defended her family and never wanted anyone to cause them harm, she was very protective.
Michele loved being around people and having family get-togethers. She loved to socialize, laugh, and tell good jokes.
Michele was such a strong person, she fought so hard even during her cancer. I was so proud of her. She exceeded all the doctors’ expectations by 3 months. She fought to live, as long as possible because she loved her family so much. We love her so much and thank her for fighting to stay with us as long as she did. We always love you and will miss you.
Michele is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Gregory; siblings, Lucian Levy, Judith (Levy) Audian, Florence (Esdelle) and Frantz Levy, and Christine (Levy) and Frantz Viala.
Another side of Michele which is probably the most important is her faith in God. She would say her Rosary 3 times a day and attend Daily Mass on EWTN Catholic Network on TV. Her faith is very strong. It is what gave her power every day to face life’s obstacles. She prayed every day. I know 100% Michele has Eternal Life right now and she is smiling down on all of us, as she is now in peace and paradise with our Lord God and Jesus Christ.
We thank Michele for the influence of God on our lives, as it has made our lives better, and made our faith strong. We miss her smiling face and beautiful laugh, but we know to trust in God, and we will all be together again someday. Amen. We miss you and love you.
We want to thank EWTN Network and San Juan Del Rio church (especially Father John), for being a big part of Michele’s life. If there are any donations please give to EWTN- 1800447EWTN or San Juan Del Rio Church- 904-287-0519, Michele would love that.
