

Michelle served as an international missionary alongside her husband, Dr. John Mitch Arbeláez. Michelle also taught at Cross Pointe homeschool co-op for 9 years while homeschooling her four children. She worked as an exchange student coordinator for Education First for four years. Michelle served as an Elder and community group leader at Destiny church of Jacksonville. She was “Momma” to many young people from Texas, Kansas, Virginia, and Florida and loved by many around the world where she traveled and ministered alongside her husband.
Michelle is survived by, her husband of 30 years, 7 months, and 4 days, Dr. John Mitch Arbeláez; her son, John-Kyle; and her daughters, Briana, Jayden, and Alyssa. Her Mother Yvonne Fournet of Port Arthur, TX; her father and step-mother, Kyle Preston Jr. and Diane Preston of Hideaway, TX; her sister, Yvette Rasnick and husband Lyall of Springfield, VA; her brother, Bryan Picard and wife Janice of Dillon, CO, her Father and mother-in-law Brett and Lucy Ralston of Springdale, AR, sister-in-law Janette Patricia Dias, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A visitation for Michelle will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. Her funeral service will occur Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mandarin Presbyterian Church, 2501 Loretto Road, Jacksonville, FL 32223. Interment will occur Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
