Mildred Shirley Smith, 97 of Jacksonville, passed away March 12, 2021. She was born in Statenville, GA on March 16, 1923. She was married to Sidney John Smith on December 29, 1946. She was a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church. She had a passion for Christ and for her family.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Linda Smith, grandchildren: Stacy McKinley (Derrol) and Heather Kennedy, great grandchildren: Sidney Kennedy, Abigayle Kennedy, Eden McKinley and Ezra McKinley.
She is predeceased by her husband, Sidney J. Smith, son Richard S. Smith. She is also predeceased by brothers and sisters: Mae Griffis (Hubert), Sabina Futch (John), Addie Bell Cason (Dan), Emily Smith (Larry), Eunice Smith (Paul), Frank Shirley (Vertis) and Allan Shirley (Eloise), and Janette Shirley.
The Pallbearers are David Smith, Ronald Ford, Billy Harden, Bobby Touchton, Derrol McKinley and Todd Owens. Honorary Pallbearers are Jonathan Futch and Jay French.
A visitation will be held at 11am, with a funeral at 12pm, on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL (904) 396-2522
