Mildred was devoted to her church, Trinity Temple Assembly of God (now Trinity Spring of Life Fellowship) and participated frequently in church activities. She also enjoyed volunteering at her children’s school functions. She liked to cook and spend time working in her garden, cultivating her flowers. Most important to her was being with her family. She was dearly loved by her friends and family and she will be greatly missed.
Mildred is survived by her children, Brenda Donaldson (Gary), David Taylor (Mary), Katrina Crean (Keith), and Marsha Zeller (Fred). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tiffany Thompson (Kyle), Erica Hall (Derek), Taylor Zeller, Jerry Zeller, and Walt Zeller, and her siblings, Jesse Chewning, Floyd Chewning, Carlton Chewning, and Linda Midyette. She was predeceased by her husband, W.C. “Carl” Taylor.
A Visitation will be held at 10:30 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am, Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Greenlawn Chapel, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. A Graveside Service will follow funeral services and will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make a donation in Mildred’s memory to Elder Source’s Senior to Senior Program, www.myeldersource.org.
