PETERSON.....Miles "Pete" Peterson, 73, surrounded by his family, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 . He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 41 years, Barbara Jean. Mr. Peterson had been an Executive Chef at several fine restaurants in the Jacksonville area throughout the years. He had passed along his culinary skills as a teacher at a college in Michigan. Pete was a very imposing, rugged "man's man", who loved woodworking and will also be remembered as being an excellent Chef and master ice sculptor. He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Lee Salas (Jose), Jean Richardson, Jeanice Weber (Lewis), Jeanette Aguiar, Shelly Jimenez (David), Joy Clark (Arthur), Sandra Beverly (Todd), Elizabeth Peterson, Teri Peterson, and Beverly Peterson; sons, Jackson Fields and Shane Peterson (Tiffany); 29 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Mr. Peterson's Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17th at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Rev. Clifford Johnson, Jr. officiating.
