Moubarak Bechara Assi

Moubarak Bechara Assi, 100, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, surrounded by his loving family, on the morning of April 3, 2025, just shy of his 101st birthday. Born on April 19, 1924, Moubarak lived a life marked by strength, resilience, and bravery.

Moubarak was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Malake Aoun Assi, who passed away a few months prior. Together, they shared a lifetime of cherished memories and built a legacy of love and family that spans generations.

He was a devoted father to his children, who will forever honor his memory: Naji Assi, Maroun Assi, Robert Assi Sr. and his wife, Rita, along with their sons, Robert Assi Jr. and Ryan Assi; Fadi Assi and his wife, Salomi, with their sons, George Assi and his wife, Marissa, and Jason Assi; Yasmine Assi Mahfouz and her husband, Rachad, with their children, Yara Mahfouz Pappadis and her husband, Nicholas, and their daughters, Evelyn and Alexandra, Donna Mahfouz Fragata and her husband, Ryan, and Peter Mahfouz.

His strength, wisdom, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by his family, who will treasure the countless memories shared with him.

Moubarak's legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

A prayer service for Moubarak will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 6:00 PM at St Maron Church, 7032 Bowden Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32216. A funeral service will occur Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at he church. A committal service will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
