

Nathaniel Clark Sr. known as “Chief or Buddy” was born on November 13, 1932 in Bainbridge, GA to the late Ruther Mae Adkins Clark and Robert Clark. The family relocated to Jacksonville, FL when he was young. He attended Mathew W. Gilbert High School until 16yrs old, to go in the army.
Nathaniel was united in matrimony to Anna Mae Jones on August 11, 1981. They traveled and enjoyed life. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Nathaniel served in the army for 2yrs in the field. When he returned home and married the late Minnie Lee Clark. They birth Nathaniel Jr, Shantrel, Teliliah, Aurillus and Mervon. He started working as a Longshoreman in 1962, where he worked as a laborer and served as an assistant business agent, upon his retirement in 1998.
Nathaniel was baptized at Greater Payne AME and later joined St Mathew’s Baptist Church. In 1963, He was initiated as a Mason into Prince Hall Jacksonville, FL. He was a loving and caring man. He loved fishing, playing bid whist, traveling and enjoying family.
He was preceded in death in addition to his wife and parents are siblings: Joe Nathan Clark, William Lee, Hazel “Mickey” Felton and Johnny “Sweet” Clark, Sons: Aurillus and Mervon Clark, Great Grand Daughter: Ca’Miyah Mayhew.
He leaves to cherish his eighty-nine years of loving memories with his wife, Anna Mae Clark; children: Nathaniel Clark Jr (Rudine), Shauntrel Solomon(Tony), Teliliah Clark, Vester Ross, Angela Phillips; Sisters: Shirley Lee Collins, Annie “Doris" Whitty; grandchildren: Derrick (Kristie) Clark, Neti (Robert) Dill, Donzalo (Rita) Solomon, Carl Butler Jr., Micheal (Quintina) Ross, Latese (Joe) Watkins, Cawana Mayhew, Shanoyiah (Brandon) Rhodes, Carey Mayhew Jr.; Great Grandchildren: Derrick Clark Jr., Shenae Clark, Shecolby Clark, Dorian (Leah) Clark, Donisha Solomon, Caliliah Butler, Kelis Butler, Camoni Butler, Victor Allen, Natalia Clark, Emmanuel Ross, Jamiyah Watkins, Natalie Clark, Camuary Mayhew, Cameron Mayhew, Camille Ross, Kody Johnson, Ja’Ceer Reed, Jaliyah Watkins, Caliyah Mayhew, Kylie Brown; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
