From his first steps to his last he was always so full of life! He loved every animal that crossed his path and he came home with more than a few. It was never hard for him to win over his mother with his convincing ways. Nicholas had a gift for doing that because you just couldn’t resist that big smile and his brand of logic. He always knew what to say and I’m sure he would have made a great salesman. Some would say “he could sell a snowball to an Eskimo”.
Nick was never the greatest student, but if you could capture his attention there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. After graduating from Bartram Trail High in 2009, he eventually went on to Broward College in Ft. Lauderdale where he received his AA degree last year.
More recently he was working for a mortgage servicing company while exploring where he wanted to finish his degree.
Nicholas loved the beach and the outdoors and everything that went along with it. At four he was cute as a button snow skiing in the mountains of California. He was always years ahead of his time both in stature and ambition. After he moved to Florida bicycling and skate boarding were an everyday occurrence along with the scrapes and bruises that went with it. Along with five years of baseball, during the same period, he followed in his Fathers footsteps and achieved a Deputy Black Belt in martial arts.
As a teen it was all about dirt bikes and water sports. He was most proud of his becoming a certified scuba diver at 10 and spending time with his Uncle Smokey catching lobster and snaring fish and the huge feast that followed.
Of course once he got his first set of wheels a whole other world opened up. His first vehicle was an Explorer and there wasn’t a dirt road that he left alone. His sense of adventure was boundless and an integral part of his personality shaping his outlook on life. In the end, it was his family and friends and mostly ….the love of his life Paula that brought the most joy into his life.
Nicholas was kind, caring and generous. His laughter and love for life was contagious! A vibrant & loving young man, he lit up any room he entered. He loved life and was able to do and see so much in his short time here, still while bringing so much joy to so many. He will forever be cherished in our hearts and in our minds! We love you Nicholas!
