Noel McKeon, loving husband and father of six, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 75 on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Noel was born in Troy, New York in January of 1946 to Frank and Marguery McKeon. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1972 from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and over the following 40 years acquired 5 Master’s Degrees in various health concentrations and Accounting. An educator by nature, Noel turned his enthusiasm for education into his lifelong career, enriching the lives of his students at Florida State College of Jacksonville, University of North Florida, and Jacksonville University. He retired in 2008.
From a young age, Noel was an avid swimmer, weight lifter, and skier. He was a prolific reader and extraordinary storyteller who loved to laugh at his own humor. He carried his steadfast faith and devotion to the Catholic Church with him throughout his life. A dedicated husband and father, Noel cherished his family above all. He is survived by wife, Andrea; children, Inara, Erich, Hanni, Ripley, Cecilia, and Frank; and grandchildren, Rylee, Luca, and Mackenzie.
He will be missed by all.
