Pat’s life was a true testament to service and unwavering love for her family, her friends, the community, her church (Christian Family Chapel) and above all else, the Lord. Pat was born on July 8, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida to Robert and Mary Louise Harris. She grew up in Jacksonville, graduated from Landon and attended Florida State University where she was a cheerleader and a member of the Flying High Circus. This is where she met the love of her life, Bill Durham. On July 6, 1956 Pat and Bill were married and were blessed with two children, Carol and Bob. She spent her adult life as a dedicated homemaker, loving wife, nurturing mother and the best Mema ever. Pat was a faithful follower of Christ and served in many areas at her church. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was faithful, gentle, and loving as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Pat loved to travel with her family and friends and her favorite place was the mountains of North Carolina where they had a second home and spent six months of the year. They were very involved with their church there also. In her younger years Pat loved to cook and host dinners and holiday celebrations. Their home was the center of love filled gatherings for her entire family. She loved tennis, hiking in the mountains and visiting those who were in the hospital or homebound. She sent cards to countless people and prayed diligently for her family and friends. Pat is survived by her devoted husband
