Patricia Gail Knight Eaton

Patricia Gail Knight Eaton, 65, lost her lifelong battle with MS and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday evening February 4, 2018, surrounded by her family. Gail was a Jacksonville native who graduated from Ribault High School and the University of Florida. She was a math teacher for more than 25 years at Oceanway Middle School and later Highlands Middle School. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian, teaching Sunday School, attending visitation, and later in life even leading bible studies in the nursing homes where she lived. Her devout faith in Jesus Christ was the center of her priorities, and she will be forever remembered as a faithful servant who had the unbelievable ability to stay positive even when faced with some unsurmountable challenges. She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Eaton, and her father Willis Knight. She is survived by her mother, Gladys Knight, her brother, Keith Knight, three children, Shawn Eaton, Shannon Eaton Lawrence, and Kimberly Eaton Wilson (Garrett Wilson) and four grandchildren, Brianna, Jamie, Croft and Grant. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 7, at Gardenview Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Haney officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
