Patrick Lou Robert Grundig

Patrick "Lou" Grundig, age 62, of Orange Park, FL., passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 after suffering a massive heart attack. He was born on September 8, 1948 in Bronx, New York to Mr. Jack Grundig and Mrs. Dorothy Williams Grundig. He proudly served his country as a Sgt. In the USMC during the Vietnam War, and was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Agnes Heines and brothers, Tommy, Johnny and Sonny Grundig. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gina, the love of his life; his 2 children, Jack Grundig and Angie Pennington (Larry); his brother, Eddie Grundig; his 3 beautiful granddaughters, Olivia, Taylor, and Emilee; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lou was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all he met. He was proud to be a good Catholic Man and was heavily involved in the church. Lou will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family visitation to greet friends will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32244. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, 10:00am, St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park of Jacksonville, FL.
