

Paul Raymond Duncan, 81, passed away on April 12, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. Raymond was born on March 1, 1937 in Jacksonville. Raymond was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, who he referred to as “My Lynda”, for 37 wonderful years. He raised two children, Bryan and Kathryn, and he was an adoring and adored grandfather to 8 grandkids. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Marshall University and a Graduate of Arts Degree at University of Florida. He loyally and patiently waited many years for Steve Spurrier to arrive and relieve the suffering of the Gator Nation.
During his life he was an insurance salesman, an administrator for the City of Jacksonville, ran a prison ministry, and was an employee of the Florida Times Union. He was well known for his sense of humor, devotion to his family, and clever wordplay in his speech and writings. He will be missed dearly by all those whose lives he touched during his lifetime.
He is survived by his wife; Lynda, children; Kathryn and Bryan (Cathy); 8 grandchildren, (Matthew, Theresa, Emma, Elise, Thomas, Isabella, Margaret and Cecelia); and brother, Ben Duncan.
In lieu of flowers, he requested donations be given to Community Hospice of Northeast FL. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
