February 9th, 1943, in Steward, Illinois, Penelope was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and
friend, whose life was marked by love, resilience, and compassion.
Penelope is survived by her two daughters, Shanon Voce and Paula Ramirez; her grandchildren,
Vanson Voce, Siena Rose Voce, Alyssa Trapp, Jordyn Lopez, Mary Kalb, Charlie Kalb, and
Grace Ramirez; and her siblings, Jewell Keicher, Bill Rhoads, and Rebecca DeGaetano. She was
preceded in death by her beloved sister, Pattie Rotschka.
A kind and fun spirit, Penelope enjoyed laughter, fashion, football, her grandkids, and had a
special place in her heart for dogs, especially her beloved Zoomie. Penelope enjoyed spending
time with her family, caring for her sister Rebecca and praying for her friends and family.
Penelope’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and
caregivers who provided exceptional care in her final days.
A graveside service will be held on January 18th, 2024 at 2:00pm located at Hardage-Giddens
Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Hospice.
