Peter Michael McHugh

Peter was a loving husband, father, and son. He married Bernadette Noone on June 5, 2010, and they lived in Wellington, FL until they moved to Saint Johns, FL in July 2021, where they have been raising their three beautiful daughters Caitlin, Bridget, and Tara, who loved him and will miss him. Also surviving are his son, Nick, from a previous marriage, future daughter-in-law Brittney Fryer, his parents Mike and Ruth McHugh, his brother Ross (Kirsten) McHugh, and other aunts and uncles, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-laws, and one niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Sonya Martin, Al and Carmella McHugh, and other aunts, uncles, and friends.

He loved his New England teams, playing loud music, pulling practical jokes, playing soccer when he was younger, and taking naps. He was very proud of his Irish Heritage and had a generous heart. He had many years of experience in the pest control industry. In addition to earning his MBA, he became a certified entomologist. Most recently he was the Senior Service Manager at Naders (Arrow Exterminators) in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. He was loved and respected by all who worked with him. He was a mentor, a friend, and cared about each of his staff. He will be missed dearly by all his surviving family and friends. “Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear.” And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hands.

A visitation for Peter will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. A memorial mass will occur Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 FL-13, Jacksonville, FL 32259.
