returned to her Heavenly Father on the 3rd of March, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Charles 'Willis" Duren, her parents, Spencer Colson and Annie Myra Colson, and brother, John Colson.

She is survived by her 4 children, Connie Williams (Kelly), Julie Dailey (Lin), Charles Duren Jr. (Valerie) and Gary Duren. Their posterity includes 4 grandchildren, BriAnna McGehee, Troy Williams (Joy), Eric Williams (Amyee) and Sarah Anne Duren and 9 great grandchildren all living within the Jacksonville Area. She is also survived by her sisters, Opal Blackshear and Kay Culpepper.

Rachel was born in Lake City, FL. on the 31st of August, 1933. She married Willis, the love of her life on October 31, 1953. The family moved to Jacksonville where they raised their family with kindness and love. Sister Duren was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 8th and a service will follow at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 4087 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, FL. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Butler, FL. at 3pm.
