Rebecca Elizabeth Cosby

Beth graduated from Valley High School and received a Business degree from Samford University in Alabama. She joined the United States Marine Corps, where she rose to the rank of Captain and continued her career working as a logistics officer. After first meeting seven years before, she married the love of her life, Janet Downin, on July 26, 2015. She also had a passion for playing poker and craps with her friends, cheering for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and being near the ocean.

Beth was predeceased by both of her parents, and is survived by her wife, Janet Downin, her brothers Robert V. Cosby (Lisa) of Louisville, KY and Ray Cosby of San Luis Obispo, CA. She also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces and nephews, and her wonderful group of friends. Beth was greatly loved by all of us and she will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00pm Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Hardage-Giddens funeral home, 729 Edgewood Ave. S., Jacksonville FL 32205. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00am Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville FL 32218.
