Regina M. Kelleter, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the age of 82. Regina was born in Coaldale, PA, and grew up in nearby Tamaqua. In 1959 she graduated from Marian Catholic High School, where she was an accomplished Majorette Captain. She absolutely loved the excitement and pageantry of performing in school events. After high school she earned her Associate Degree at Peirce Junior College in Philadelphia. Over the years she worked as a legal assistant, real estate agent, and editor. But her greatest roles were as a wife of 53 years to her husband, John, and mother to her two sons, Greg and Neil.
Regina and her family lived in West Chester, PA until 1985 when they moved to Coral Springs, FL. In 2001, she and John moved to Maine, and then eventually settled in Jacksonville, FL in 2009. Along the way her outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor made her lots of friends wherever she went. Despite the many relocations, Regina remained a fervent fan of her Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers.
In 2007 with the arrival of her first grandchild, Regina became Baba (grandmother). She would go on to be Baba for five grandchildren. There was no greater joy for her than visiting with her grandkids, making them laugh and smile, and loving them with all her heart and soul.
She was predeceased by her brother William Moyer. She is survived by her husband John; sons Greg and Neil; brother James Moyer; daughter-in-law Suzanne Kelleter; and five grandchildren. A private funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
