Regina Lingel

Regina Klosinski Lingel, beloved wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother (nana), aunt, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24th 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. She was surrounded by her loved ones to include her daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Regina was born to the late Joseph and Stella Banaszesky Klosinski in New York, NY. She married the love of her life, George Lingel, World War II veteran, on November 21, 1943. Together they lovingly raised four children. After George's passing, Regina moved from Long Island to Jacksonville in 1984 to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. A very independent woman, Regina lived on her own until her passing at age 92.

Regina was passionate about her family and her Catholic faith. She was an amazing cook, a peaceful presence, and the pillar of her large family. She will be missed for her strength and wisdom and the undying love she had for her family.

Regina is survived by her daughters, Carole Ginzl and Janice Larsen (Maury); son, Paul Lingel; niece, Rosemary Palmer (Harry); grandchildren, Christie Ginzl Harless (Jeff), Andrea Ginzl Greer, David Larsen (Judy), Heather Friedman, Timothy Larsen (Lisa), Rebekah Ginzl Paredes (Peter), Jeremy Larsen (Lauren); and twelve great-grandchildren, Gabe, Reagan, Andrew, Jacob, Sara, Nolan, Annemarie, Tyler, Alyssa, Emma, Erik, Ava. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Lingel; all of her eight brothers and sisters; her treasured daughter, Susan Lingel; and cherished son-in-law, David Ginzl.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 29th in Holy Family Catholic Church, 9800 Baymeadows Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32256. Father George Maniangattu will be the Celebrant. Regina will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2nd in Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933.
