Richard Dean Birckbichler

Richard Dean Birckbichler, 66, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2015. Rich was born on August 1, 1948 in Butler, PA to Thomas G. and Virginia M. Weiland Birckbichler. During his lifetime, he proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. After retirement, Rich relocated from Columbia, MD to St. Augustine, FL in 2014 where he was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. His passions were his family, his friends, anything Disney, golf, and travel. Rich was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his father Thomas G. Birckbichler and brother, Thomas G. Birckbichler Jr. Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years Jane, his sons Brian Neil Birckbichler, Kevin Richard Birckbichler, Brandon Patrick and daughter-in-law RoseAnna Birckbichler, his mother, Virginia M. Weiland Birckbichler, his brother Roy F. Birckbichler, and his sister Rosemary Birckbichler.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, June 9th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Interment will follow at 1:30pm in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32218. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
