Richard David McMullen

Richard “Dick” David McMullen, born in Seurckley, PA on April 21, 1933 to Harris and Mary (Teleha) McMullen, is now deceased. Dick graduated from Aliquippa High School in January 1952, was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps. in 1955, graduated from West Penn Tech as a draftsman, and attended Geneva College while working at P.B. and T. in Rochester, PA.

Dick started as an insurance agent with State Farm in the 60s before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1971 as an agent for Peninsular Fire, and later retired from Main Street America in 2010. He was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church, F. & A.M. Lodge, and American Legion Post #283. A talented golfer, Dick was always proud to have played in the Tournament Players Pro-Am at Sawgrass in 1977.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years. Myra J. McMullen.

Richard McMullen is survived by his daughter Melissa Hursey (Billy), Brenda Inscoe, Cynthia Hausmann (Peter), David McMullen (Megan), and Paul McMullen (partner Cindy Sutton). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many cousins and relatives in Aliquippa, Hookstown, and the surrounding Pittsburgh area.

A service will be held in Richard's honor at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at 11 A.M.
