Richard Nadeau

He was the beloved husband of the late Rita (McCaffrey) Nadeau, the love of his life. Richard and Rita shared 40 wonderful years together.

Richard was deeply proud of his family. He is survived by his three sons: Jeffrey Ahrendt and his wife Myriam of Bay Village, Ohio; Scott Ahrendt and his wife Dawn of St. Johns, Florida; and Randy Ahrendt of Warwick, Rhode Island. He was a proud grandfather to Ana Ahrendt, John Ahrendt, Daniel Ahrendt, Maria Ahrendt, and Matt Ahrendt, who brought him great joy.

Richard worked various jobs in his younger years before finding his calling as a Chemical Dependency professional, where he dedicated himself to helping others find recovery and hope.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, following sports—especially baseball and car racing—and was well known for leaving extremely long, detailed notes and messages for both his loved ones and himself.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Eleanor Nadeau, and his sister, Susan (Nadeau) Costello.

Richard will be remembered for his devotion to family, his willingness to help others, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew and loved him.
