

HAMILTON – Richard Coleman Rick” Hamilton, 64, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Mr. Hamilton was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a member of Victory Worship Center. Ricky was a paint and body man at Driggers Auto Body and enjoyed fishing everyday so much that he became a commercial fisherman. The name of his boats was “FETCH-IT” and that is what he was known as on the water. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Goss, father, Alvie Hamilton and a brother, Gil Hamilton. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Wanda Hamilton; two daughters, Carrie Welch (Steve) and Melissa Hall (Troy); five brothers, George Hamilton, Thomas Bowen, Tony Bowen, Teddy Bowen and Mike Goss; four grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Kirstin and Kylie; other loving family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 11, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Dinsmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday (Today) at the funeral home.
