Risden was full of life. He enjoyed bowling, competing in the Special Olympics, listening to music and cheering on the Jaguars. He especially liked spending time with his longtime girlfriend, Shelia Starr.
He is survived by his father, Barry M. Pierce (Mary); sister, Teresa “Terri” Free (Curtis); girlfriend, Shelia Starr; cousin, Neal Harrelson-Keys (Patrick); cousin, Gordon Harrelson (Kathleen); and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Risden was preceded in death by his mother, Martha G.R. Pierce; his sister, Linda Pierce; grandmom, Louise Russey; aunt, Elizabeth Brodhead; and a cousin, Susan Newton.
A special thanks to Heaven Loving Care, LLC, and The ARC of the St. Johns, Inc. who loved and cared for Risden.
A graveside service for Risden will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
