

Robert Paul Crews, Jr. was born in Richwood, WV on April 26, 1954, and passed away on March 6, 2026, in Jacksonville FL. He had a great Love for God and lived a good life. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.
Robbie married Rita Ann Taylor in 1976, and they had two daughters Amanda Shaw and Erin Richardson.
Robbie was a loving, devoted husband to Rita and the best girl dad to Amanda and Erin.
Conner, his grandson, brought him great joy and love. He had a special bond with his son-in laws. He was always proud to be a Crews and loved his brothers and extended family.
Robbie loved spending time with family and taking vacations to the mountains and trips to the beaches. He enjoyed surfing in his younger years. Robbie enjoyed cooking for his family and sharing with others. Robbie was always there for other people in his caring ways.
Robbie grew up in Jacksonville, FL and attended Resurrection Catholic School and Bishop Kenny High School. He went back to college in his adult years to become a respiratory therapist and completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida. He retired from the Mayo Clinic after working for many years as a respiratory therapist and in clinical trials.
After retirement he became involved with Coastal Pug Rescue, and he loved all the stray cats that became his pets, his 5 grand dogs, and any animal he met.
Robbie is survived by his wife, Rita, his daughters and their spouses, Amanda (Jason), Erin (Jeff), his grandson, Conner, and brothers, Mike (Robyn) and John (Jennifer), Aunt Mary and Aunt Eula.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Paul and Carol Ann Callahan Crews.
Most of all Robbie will be missed for all the love he had for his family and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at Assumption Catholic Church on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 10:30 am, with Father Jason Trull as the celebrant.
