Robert Kirkland (Bob) went to be with the Lord and was reunited with his loving wife, Venetia, on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Bob was a loving son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and is survived by his brother, Lonnie (Rosemary) Kirkland; six children, David (Robin) Kirkland, Kevin Kirkland, Kelly (Brian Randolph) Rigdon, Darcy (Lyle) Carter, Jerri (John) Safar, Lawrence (Tessie) Kirkland; 20 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Venetia Arlene Kirkland; parents, Sylvester and Mary Kirkland; brothers, Lawrence and Donald Kirkland; and sister, Marjorie Lingad.
The family will receive guests at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel and Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32207 on Saturday, February 3rd from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am and burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow.
