

Robert L. Kramer, 72, of Orange Park passed away December 7, 2012. He was born in New Jersey, graduated from Rutgers and joined the US Navy. He was commissioned in 1962 and served as a Nuclear Weapons Officer. He went on to become a special agent for the Bureau of Narcotics and later became a stockbroker, rising to the position of Sr. V.P. After retiring from the financial world, he served his country as Chief of Counter-terrorism for the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.
Bob was a member of the William B. Barnett Lodge No. 187, The Scottish Rite, York Rite and the Shriners. He served as Vice President of the Jacksonville Opera Company and was a member of the Police Council of Jacksonville for over 20 years. A member of the Sheriff’s Advisory Council, he was also listed in Who’s Who Worldwide Platinum Edition.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Jane Kramer, step-son Darrell Hawley, Step-daughter Lisa (Tim) VanKuiken, three grandchildren, Clay and Paige VanKuiken and Clay Hawley, Jr. and brother, Henry (Jean) Kramer, nephew Erik Kramer.
The family will greet friends on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 5:00 un 6:30 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL . A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 1:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
