Robert E. Malesky

Robert Malesky, 31, passed away at home on December 13, 2014. He was born in 1983 in Dusseldorf, Germany and came to Jacksonville that same year. Rob, known to many as “Robehr” from his Geman origins, was a devoted friend to many and a wonderful son. He had a great talent for making people happy, whether through his annual Halloween parties or the regular trips down the Ichetucknee River. More than that, he always was there for his friends when needed. He was a loving son and a wonderful man.

In his earlier years, he loved working with kids as a Camp Immokolee counselor and achieving a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Know Do. Music and filmmaking became passions and he would do nearly anything to hear his favorite Celtic rock bands. Rob graduated from UNF with a BA in Criminal Justice. He was currently employed as Manager for Anjo Liquors.

Rob is survived by his mother and father, Elizabeth “Sunnie” Kleesattel Malesky and Edwin Malesky. He will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00pm on Saturday, December 20th in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Georgia Blood Alliance, http://www.igiveblood.com/.
