What can we say about  Uncle Bob? He was a man man full of life and had a very big heart. From all the childhood memories….going to visit them and driving so fast on the highway to  him teaching me how to fish and I got the line all caught in a tree…. To the visits to Florida with my family … when we arrived and he had to move all of his guns off the beds. We got a story and history of each gun’😀. I think I got even closer to him then.  I was always amazed at how he told care of Aunt Dottie and of course his dogs.  And he bonded with my husband Frank who every year would fly down and visit him and go
quail shooting .  My husband says that he lost a good friend.  We loved him and he will be truly missed .

I worked with Bob in sales at Gardner Denver after Joy’s merger with Gardner Denver in 1988 and he was a pleasure to work with during that time.
We stayed in contact after he retired and he constantly entertained me with his jokes and stories via email.
He was a one of a kind of a gentleman and will be greatly missed.

Holy Cow, what a guy. Bob hired me in 1976 for the training program at Joy. What an experience, I wasn't sure if I was a trainee for Joy or in the outrigger training program. 
He was  a great mentor and guide for my career. I have too many great memories that I will always cherish. 
He knew everything and he would make sure you understood that he did.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Dotty was a great lady.

Bob will always hold a special place in our hearts. He was a close and loyal brother/brother-in-law, and what an amazing life he had. Anything he attempted to do- whether it was hunting, fishing, or shooting- he was never satisfied until he rose to the top. Second place was never okay for Bob. We admired the character and spirit of our brother/brother-in-law and we'll always treasure the fond memories created throughout our lives. May God bless and comfort our family at this difficult time.

I have many memories of my Uncle Bob.  Many of them involved Bob testing the limits of machinery whether car, boat, dune buggy slow was not the word that comes to mind more like throttle.  I remember riding in his jeep somewhere in Indiana straight up a very steep hill in the sand.  I was terrified but somehow believed in Uncle Bob.  
He loved his dogs.  Once in 1970 upon arrival of our family to their house in Indiana we came upon Bob holding his dog a setter (maybe Molly?) dead in his lap.  The dog was hit by a car moments before we arrived Bob was holding the dog and sobbing.  It was the first time I had seen my Uncle Bob cry.  As Patty mentioned he had a heart!
Many years later after Dottie was diagnosed with MS and they moved to Florida I remember visiting Uncle Bob and Aunt Dottie in Florida.  Bob was working with Dottie and her swimming in their pool.  The dedication was touching.  Years later with Dottie’s health in decline they came to visit my parents Ed and Lil Minshall in West Chester Pennsylvania.  The plan was for Bob and Dottie to stay at our house.  I will never forget a huge camper trailer pulling into our drive and Bob emerged carrying Dottie into our house.  He loved her so much.  
I will miss my Uncle Bob very much.  It gives me comfort to know he is now with Dottie and they both are playing with the dogs.   


I will miss my Uncle Bob….I didn’t get to see him a lot over the years due to the distance….but every time was a great memory.  I remember visiting Aunt Dottie and Uncle Bob in their Florida house and swimming in their pool and also being amazed at Uncle Bob’s collection of fishing poles in his garage.  He was always happy to take us out in his boat and my sister Carol and I remember a trip where we were going so fast and hanging on in the front of the boat and we felt like we were flying.  Sad that the last time I “saw” uncle Bob was on a zoom call on his 90th birthday…but glad that my dad got to see his brother in person before that….it was a beautiful reunion of two brothers and two of my sisters drove our mom and dad down to Jacksonville to make that happen.  We will all miss Uncle Bob. ❤️  

Dear Carolyn, Susan, and Family,
       John and I were sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He was an amazing man with many talents. John always speaks so highly of times spent with Bob shooting trap or hunting.  We enjoyed many  dinners with Bob and conversation was never lacking. . He was full of wisdom and a work ethic that was amazing. We will never forget the lovely sound of chiming clocks as we visited him!   Even as Bob slowed down through the years, he had clarity and was always learning. We will miss him.  May God hold each of you as you grieve the earthly loss of Bob. Love, John and Audrey 

We'll always remember with a smile, Bob & his dogs, especially Jack. He would play fetch endlessly with him.
Bob also gifted us our beautiful blonde Honey, who gave us great adventures with her 9 puppies!
Hope Bob is playing with his amazing dogs in heaven. What a big heart he had.
