Roderick E. Holmes Jr.

Roderick Eugene Holmes, Jr., 56, passed away July 11, 2010. He was born in Durham, NC. He was an accomplished pianist and songwriter. He also enjoyed baking. Roderick is predeceased by his mother, Helen Holmes and his dear companion, Emma Jean Catilogo. He is survived by his father, Roderick E. Holmes, Sr. (Ezera); daughter, R. Adinah Johnson (Nikia); brothers, Dr. Ricki Holmes (Ruth), Christopher Holmes and James Holmes (Olivia); sisters, Barbara Holmes-Chapman (Craig), Desiree R. Thomas, Regina Holmes and Gwendolyn Frazier; aunt, Elizabeth Springs; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Friday, July 16, 2010 at the funeral home, where funeral services will also be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11:00 am.
