Ronald Allen Bond

Ronald Allen Bond, 80, passed away on August 30, 2015. He was born September 6, 1934 in Novelty, Ohio. Ron was a retired Lt. Col. with 28 years of service in the USAF. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Ron was an active member of San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church where he was a member in the Men’s Club, Knights of Columbus and taught religious education courses. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Mary; two sons, Robert (Kathy) of Ft. Myers, FL, and Rick (Rachel) of Allen, TX; daughter, Debbie Moore (Billy) of Edna, TX; grandchildren, Carla, Mary, Steven, Flora, Matthew, Kevin, Kristen, Jared, Kendall and McKenna; great grandchildren, Courtney, Dillon and Michael and great great grandchild, Aiden. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Joanne Epstein of University Heights, OH, Nancy Krnc of Euclid, OH and Barbara Chesney of Dallas, TX. A Gathering will be held in San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church,1718 FL-13, St. Johns, FL 32259 on Saturday, September 5 from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 7 in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32218.
