

Ronald John Rollo Sr. lived a beautiful life for 79 years and was laid to rest the morning of Thursday October 19th, 2017. He was in the comfort of his home, in the presence of his family& left this world in the hands of his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Ron grew up in Johnson City, NY with his five siblings and was a graduate of Johnson City High School in 1958. He was a dedicated man who worked a total of 30 years doing check printing at John H. Harland and then, American Bank Stationary, and retired after 10 years from Comcast Cable Co. Ron served in the Army National Guard July 1954- April 1964 and received an Honorable Discharge. He was also a Master Mason with 49 years of membership and a committed husband to Sandra Laverne Rollo for 50 years and 2 months. He took after his father and was passionate about his workshop, he loved fixing things that were broken and successfully passed this trait on to all of his children. He has built four houses in his lifetime of which two his family called home. He loved activities with his family such as camping, fishing, golfing, watching wrestling, football and FOX news, as well as traveling to the Smokey Mountains for the change of the leaves. Ron has been rejoined with his predeceased loved ones as follows; father Frank Charles Rollo, mother Augustine Dumont Rollo, Sister Terry Rizzuto, Sister; Elaine Richards, and grandson Zachary Debeau. He is survived by his wife; Sandra Laverne Hankey Rollo of Jacksonville FL, and their five children, Mark J.Winslow of Lake Placid, FL; Ronald J. Rollo Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; Bobbi J. Rollo Barreira of Middleburg, FL; Michael D. Rollo of Bristol, VA; and Sandi D. Rollo Maiden of Abingdon, VA. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren; Christopher Winslow, Christopher McCullum, Nicole Winslow Jeske, Ashlyn Barreira, Morgan Rollo, Emily Barreira, Alyssa Maiden, Gracie Barreira, Timothy Rollo, Jonathan Rollo, and his four great-grand children; Hailey Winslow, Christopher Winslow, Carter Winslow, and Liam Jeske. He is also survived by his two siblings; Dr. F. David Rollo, and his twin sister; Annie Sarnoski. Ron is also survived by his two sons in law, two daughters in law, two sisters in law, two brothers in law and fourteen nieces & nephews. Vistation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 4pm to 5pm in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
