The daughter of Frances Cowart and Ira Lee Gregory, Rosalie was born November 26, 1938. She was educated in local schools, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Stetson University in De Land FL. She was married to Michael Burke Snyder for 44 years until his death in 2002.
A communicant of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and former staff member of the Church and Day School, she was also a faithful member of the Women’s’ Auxiliary at Old St Luke's Hospital. Rosalie's many close acquaintances knew her to be a truly loyal, loving and supportive friend. She was full of grace and wisdom and was adored by her family to whom she devoted most of her time and energy. She was a good listener, always "there" for us. She and Mike enjoyed many happy years together and were known for their generous hospitality, especially at Christmas and at their vacation home on Black Creek.
Rosalie is survived by her daughter Leigh Maxwell Snyder Ray (James), grandson Evan Maxwell Ray; nieces and nephews: Mary Burke Evans (Gary), Maxwell C. Snyder III, (Donette) and Paul Snyder (Kimmy). She also leaves to cherish her memory six grand and four great nephews and nieces.
