the late Arthur and Lola Grantham. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Roselle is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack E. Allen Sr.; brothers Arthur, and Benny Grantham; and sisters, Estoria Dreggors, and Geneva White.
She was survived by her sons Jack E. Allen Jr, Bennie J. Allen, Arthur W. Allen (Kay), Charles K. Allen (Helen); nine grandchildren: Wesley James Allen (Christina), Jacob Kendrick Allen (Katelyn), Shannon Renee Allen, Chelsea LeeAnn Allen (Charles), Elizabeth Rosalinda Lloyd-Allen, Elizabeth Roselle Allen, Sarah Jane Allen, Dalton James Allen and Colton Arthur Allen; seven great-grandchildren: Aubrae, Penelope, Connor, Charles, Lydia, Macyn, Olivia, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends.
After raising four boys, moving around the state because of Jack’s job with FDOT, they settled in Fruit Cove. Roselle loved visiting the Great Smoky Mountains, genealogy and antiquing. Sewing was a passion; she joined her woman’s group at church and together they sewed pillowcases for children with Cancer at Wolfson’s Hospital. She was an avid researcher and traced Jack's family line to Leon County, Florida. Also, in her research she found and was able to show that Jack, his siblings, and her children were all Florida Pioneers (Family line was in Florida before it was a state). Rose spent a lot of girl time in these last several years shopping, eating out with her daughter in love, Kay. Kay in turn selflessly devoted her time to her mother in love in her last months.
