Rosemarie Mussallem D'Amour, "Rose", was born December 10th, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida and passed away April 9th 2018 in her home surrounded by loved ones. Rose was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She worked 38 years for her family and another 10 years for the Duval County Courthouse as the judicial assistant to the chief judge. She took pride in going to work and brought an aura of joy with her every day.
Rose was the oldest of six children. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Saleem Mussallem, Jr. and Marie Cecelia Mussallem, and her brother Charles Saleem Mussallem, III. She is survived by her daughter, Chereyl D'Amour (Seya Daryai); her son, Nelson D'Amour; and siblings, Joanne Herro, Linda Herro (Khalil Herro), James Mussallem (Kristi Mussallem), and Marlene Jabour. She is further survived by her two grandchildren, Jahan Daryai and Keyan Daryai, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12th with Vigil Prayers at 6:00 p.m. in Assumption Catholic Church located at 2403 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Assumption Catholic Church on Friday, April 13th with Father Frederick R. Parke and Father Robert McDermott as Celebrants, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Rose's name to either of the following organizations:
American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
