Roy Everett Smith

Roy Everett Smith, 84, longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away June 20, 2013. He was born in Elkins, WV, son of the late James and Letha (Van Pritt) Smith. A veteran, Roy served his country in US Army.

Roy owned and operated a service station and felt fortunate to be doing something he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Grace, three daughters, Katherine Boree (Alan), Nancy Rowell (Burt) and Sue Parish (Orville), a sister Geraldine, six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 for 6 – 7 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The funeral will be Tuesday, June 25 at 10 am in the chapel at the funeral home. Rev. Morgan will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
