Ruth Anne Carpenter

Ruthie Anne attended Whitworth University receiving an Associates degree. She worked in food service for HMS Host.

Ruthie had a passion for flowers, painting and life.

Ruth is preceded in death by her father, William Read Sr. She is survived by the love of her life for 24 years, Tony Gibbs, stepdaughter Tawanza Miller, grandchildren Travis Crocker and Trey Green, mother Lenora Read, brothers Richard (Sandy), Ron (Linda) and Rob (Kay) Read. Ruth also leaves behind to cherish her memory; the Gibbs family members, Hilliard (Thelma) Gibbs Sr., Waynesville, N.C, Hilliard (Bertha) Gibbs Jr., Opelika, AL., Terry Gibbs (deceased), Telinda (Alvin) Forney, Waynesville, N.C, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home 729 S. Edgewood Avenue Jacksonville, FL 32205 on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 1:00pm.
