Ruth Ann Doran

Ruth Ann Doran (Workman), age 81, went home on Saturday, December 6, 2025. She was born in Caledonia, MI on April 7, 1944. She married the love of her life, Brian P Doran, on June 5, 1965 in Grand Rapids, MI and lived primarily in Jacksonville after moving to Florida in 1972.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Brian P. Doran, her parents, Ben and Ada Workman, and her brothers, Robert and Carl Workman. Ruth is survived by her daughter Kelly Sue, son David Roy (Debra), grandson Brian James (Brandea), great-grandson Brian Austin and sisters-in-law Betty Workman and Katie Workman.

Ruth volunteered at Resurrection Catholic Church for over 40 years with the Altar Society and Queen of Angels. She shared her love of quilting and sewing with several groups of cherished friends. Ruth and Brian loved to travel and spent several years traveling in their RV “Living our Dream.”

A visitation will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, located at 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211, on December 16, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will take place at Resurrection Catholic Church, located at 3383 University Blvd N, Jacksonville, FL 32277, on December 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Friends are asked to join the family in remembering and celebrating Ruth’s life at a reception in the parish center following the service.
