

Sandra (Sandy) Liddell Chapman, 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, following emergency surgery. She was a loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, daughter and friend, and will be greatly missed by many. She was born December 11, 1938, to the late Noble Foster Liddell and Marjorie Perdue German, and resided in Jacksonville her entire life. She graduated from Dupont High School in 1956. She married Bob Chapman, deceased, while employed at Barnett Bank, where she worked for 34 years. Sandra was also employed by 6000 On The River until October of this year, where she loved serving the residents with warmth and kindness. She was a talented artist spending thousands of hours painting ceramics for art shows. Homes from Florida to California are adorned with her beautiful and intricate pieces of work. Sandra was an America-loving patriot and a song lyricist’s, knowing the words to most any song ever written. She never missed an event in which her son Bart participated. Nana loved her grandchildren and could talk about them at length! She will be remembered for her love of college football, especially her love of the Gators, sense of humor, her smile, her thoughtfulness, and generosity. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by: her step-father William C. German (Papa); her sisters Pat Bennett of Keystone Heights, Linda Titus of Jacksonville, and Peggy (John) Pugh of San Rafael, CA; her son Bart (Chris) Wilson; grandchildren Ryan, Lauren, Alexa, Carter, & Von; seven nieces and nephews; and ten grandnieces and grandnephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 8 at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Boulevard. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Donations may be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society under the name of Mama Sandy.
