GALLIMORE - On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, Sandra J. Gallimore, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at the age of 69 in Jacksonville following a prolonged illness. Sandy was born on November 10, 1949 in Shelby, NC to Wray L. and Addie L. Gallimore. She graduated from Fallston at Burns High School Class of 1968 and began her career at Cleveland County Memorial Hospital. Sandy retired from AT&T after more than four decades of loyal service.
Sandy had a passion for travel, her family and friends, and her faith. She is preceded in death by her parents. Sandy is survived by a sister, Anne Gallimore Hollifield of Salisbury, NC; a brother, Wray E. Gallimore of Stone Mountain, GA; three nieces, Debbie Ayers (Jim), Sherry Bryan (Fred), Lori Chase (John); two nephews, Eric Hollifield (Jennifer), Bo Gallimore; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Holiday Hill Baptist Church, 730 Mandalay Road, Jacksonville FL at 4 o'clock p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holiday Hill Baptist Church.
