

Sandra Kay Osborn Robinson passed peacefully on January 27, 2022, following a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving children. Sandra was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 11, 1937. She attended public schools in the Riverside area, graduating from Robert E. Lee high school in 1954.
Sandra was an avid athlete who swam for Robert E. Lee high school. She also competed in equestrian competitions and enjoyed skating and bowling. She was most happy sailing on her catamaran in Keystone Heights, Florida.
Sandra was a Christian who attended Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church and Epiphany Episcopal church.
Sandra married George Robinson Senior in 1954. They were dance partners and competed in dance skating.
Sandra retired from the Duval County School Board. Her love of children and the well-being of others made her a special individual to many.
She was very focused on civic activities. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and was a member of Rainbow Girls, Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She was most involved with Alpha Iota Women’s Service Sorority. She participated on many committees and was a past president of Alpha Iota.
Sandra was the child of Frank and Lillian Osborn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George I. Robinson Senior in 2004, her son-in-law Dean Lauramore 2020. She is survived by her three children George I Robinson Jr. (Lori), Anita Robinson Lauramore, Laura Robinson Watson (Matt), nephew David Gonzales (Cheryl), her four grandchildren Lauren Ashley Robinson Clermont, Gennifer Mary Robinson, Austin Reed Watson, and Cole Garrison Watson. Along with great grandson Hunter Dean Clermont. Her second son Charles Wilson, and second daughters Melinda Bunton and Sandra Jackson Richardson.
Our Mom was gregarious, fun, and a friend to all. She will be so missed by her family.
We would like to thank the staff of River City Rehab and nursing facility for the wonderful care she received. Mom really liked the hotel she was living in. Our thanks also to Hospice of Northeast Florida for their help and care.
