Scott A. Currey, 31, Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL, of complications from ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease which he had bravely battled for almost 3 years.
He was born on March 14, 1987 in Jacksonville, the son of Ron and Jan Currey. He attended Jacksonville area schools and had a History Degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee. He had been employed in the mortgage department of JPMorgan Chase here in Jacksonville since 2011. Scott enjoyed his FSU Seminoles, the Atlanta Braves, golf and spending time with his friends.
Scott is survived by his parents, Ron and Jan; his brother, Robbie; his girlfriend, Sierra Navarro; and three uncles and many cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Mandarin Cemetery on Mandarin Road located West of San Jose Boulevard and South of the Loretto Road and Mandarin Road intersection.
