Shawn William Feely, 41, died suddenly Friday, July 29 when he suffered a life-ending heart attack in Wichita, Kansas. He is survived by his mother, Christa Feely; brother, Scott Feely; sister, Vicki Feely (Joel Galarza); and niece, Gabriella; aunt, Margaret Janz and uncle, Fred Janz (Rhoda); and several cousins.
Shawn had been attending college and working in Garden City, Kansas and was in the process of relocating back to Jacksonville. Shawn demonstrated endurance and optimism throughout his life. He always had a smile on his face and entered into extensive conversations with everyone. He was an enthusiastic sports aficionado; he especially loved the Florida Gators and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He could and would discuss these teams’ players and stats at the drop of a hat with anyone.
The visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 6-7pm. A graveside service will be officiated by Father Thomas Sullivan at Evergreen Cemetery on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11am.
